As a kid I love routines! I thrive on them. The structure of routines also makes me feel good and safe. Routines take the stress out of getting ready and help make it a special time.

There is no one right routine for everyone, but in general, your routine should include all the things that you need to do before starting your day, including brushing teeth, washing up, getting dressed, and having a healthy breakfast. You may want to read, talk about the day, or get some exercise. Whatever you choose to do, keep the routine short (30 minutes or less, not including a bath) .
